  How are Governing Body members chosen?

  since it wouldn't make sense for the society to choose "orginal" (i.e.

  pre-1935) annointed ones for the gb because they're so old now, how do they choose the new ones?

  couldn't a "newer" annointed simply declare himself to be one just so he could get on the body?

  Here's a postcard I'm sending to all my exfriends(JW's)

  DEAR Friends,
  Why is there so much depression among Jehovah’s Witnesses? (Could it be from trusting a man made Organization?)
  And if you think about it, these men who you follow don’t even claim to be INSPIRED by Jehovah, yet these men want you to accept everything they say as if it is inspired.
  If God didn’t inspire them how can they be so certain that God has appointed them only to be his channel? Isn’t that being … presumptuous? DELUSIONAL
  Psalm 146:3-4 says:
  3 Do not put YOUR trust in nobles, Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs. (You will get depressed if you trust them more than you trust God)
  4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground;
  In that day his thoughts do perish. (All men die, even C.T. Russell died, and not even one thing he predicted came true, they can’t save themselves, and they can’t save you either)

  If evolution is true ?

  if evolution is true and god doesnt exist, and all matter always existed, and life keeps adapting and getting more and more advanced, conquering all problems set before its existence.. then life should have already filled the entire universe and advanced to the point of never dying.. am i being presumptuous?.

  What if all that God required of us, is to show we want eternal life in some tangible way that will indicate we really wanted it, and then, and only then, grant it to us?

  What if the Adam and Eve thing, is not about some Issue of God's right to rule, but only done this way so we would have to show by some tangible way we want life and that is a perfect way to find the answer to:
  Do we really want to live forever?

  I'm trying to be fair and open minded, though I'm way more in favor of beleiving in God's existance.
  To me it make the most sense.

  Esther, Mordecai and Holocaust

  the account of esther and mordecai shows how they diverted a holocaust for the jews.. several thoughts come to mind when i think of this account.. it doesnt mention god at all so why was it included in the jewish collection of holy books?.

  was the book of esther inspired?.

  and is it because the jewish nation rejected jesus christ that they were left without gods protection and suffered the holocaust during world war 2?

  I feel this way too:
  

  I don't pretend to understand God's logic either, I just know he's a LOT smarter than you our I, and I trust Him.

  
  I feel God would not at this point in time of our existance find it best to explain IN DETAIL, what are the reasons for what he is doing.
  That's where faith is necesarry.

  Also the question of:
  What has he been doing, for an Eternity in the past is something that we will never know in it's complete details.
  He is answerable to no one, he is the potter and we are his vessels that can not say to him "Why did you make me this way".
  We can not bring God to court or have him arrested or call him to account for any thing.
  He does as his will pleases there is NO ONE that can check his hand.
  His inspired Apostle John says, HE is LOVE.
  I don't feel I know all the ways of love, but I will ponder his ways and maybe I will get more insight into love.

  Weak and Doubting Christians

  when i read the letters of apostle paul i see that many christians had doubt about faith in jesus christ and the power of the ransom sacrifice.. example: jewish christians who felt keeping the law was still necessary for salvation.. and i also see that there were christians that were not anointed or led by the holy spirit and walking in the flesh.. as paul said in romans 8:12-17:.

  12 so, then, brothers, we are under obligation, not to the flesh to live in accord with the flesh; 13 for if you live in accord with the flesh you are sure to die; but if you put the practices of the body to death by the spirit, you will live.

  14 for all who are led by gods spirit, these are gods sons.

  Let me try to make myself clear(I hope).

  I didn't say if evolution is true then God does not exist.
  I feel I can beleive in evolution and still beleive in God.
  Do I beleive in evolution? Not with my whole heart, soul, and mind.
  Do I disbeleive in evolution? No.
  Can I say eveolution is a fact No because I'm not keeping up with it enough to say with sure conviction.

  My postulation was if both thing were true then this is my conclusion.

  I'm not so sure that I can't be budged from my conclusion. With new information and the passing of time who knows.

  I'm not say evolution is not true.
  I'm saying if evolution is true and God's does not exist. They both are included to understand the the conclusion I purposed.

  I don't know for sure if evolution is fact or theory.

  You don't really beleive this do you?
  

  The Holocaust shows that God can use bad things to make good things happen. The present day nation of Israel was in many ways built on the ashes of the Holocaust victims.

  I don't see the logic? Was it a good thing for the innocent victims?
  I said that God took away his protection, and thus they were not spared like the Jews in Esther's day.
